Accredited surveyors to help you buy with confidence

Sara says: “Independent and impartial; approachable and reliable; always professional. Just some of the reasons we have such positive feedback from our clients. We are proud of the ratings their kind words have given us and we certainly never take them for granted!”

RICS accreditation – a mark of excellence, for total peace of mind

As a chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), James has passed the organisation’s main qualification and it is therefore completely confident he will deliver surveying work to the very highest of industry standards. Just to make sure he does, he must also submit to an annual audit.

What is the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)?

Founded in 1868, the RICS is the leading UK and global professional body for qualifications and standards in, not only building surveying, but in the development and management of land, construction and infrastructure.

What does the RICS do?

Not only does the Institution set the standards all its members must meet when conducting their work, it also ensures they are upheld via a system of independently led regulation.

These standards include the strict Rules of Conduct, which set out the requirements of every RICS member in terms of competence, ethics, service standards and consumer protection.

What does that mean for you?

  • Customers can be confident in the quality and ethics of the service they receive
  • The service must be delivered with honesty and integrity
  • All RICS members must have correct insurance in place
  • They must also commit to continuing professional development to stay up to date with the latest skills and knowledge
  • They must submit to an annual audit to ensure they are meeting RICS standards
  • The RICS has a robust system of redress in place if customers are unhappy with the service they have received.
In short, being an RICS chartered surveyor means the highest industry mark of excellence for James and complete peace of mind for you.

James says: “The professional standard of a chartered surveyor is very high, which is probably why it takes five years of study and mentored training to get there. If I am challenged on my work, I need to be able to evidence what I have done. Being chartered is something I am very proud of and you should take great confidence in it.”
